Arlene Barrett, 94, most recently of Conroe, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, April 16, 2021.

She was born September 21, 1926 in Curwensville, PA to parents Guy and Laura Mae (Bennett) Lippert.  She attended and graduated from Curwensville High School.  She also studied at Nyack Missionary College.

She married Harry Glen Barrett on June 24, 1947 and together they had three children: Carol Ann (Toni), Linda Ruth, and Kenneth Glen.

She was a homemaker, Avon lady and briefly, a school bus driver who enjoyed travelling, knitting, crocheting, sewing and various crafts, as well as line dancing.

Her most recent passions were Bible study and making sure all her great and great, great grandkids have hand knitted Christmas stockings.

She is survived by daughters Toni McDevitt and Linda Mitchell, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren, as well as her sister Alverta Hoover.

She has been preceded in death by her husband Harry, son Kenneth, brothers Preston Lippert, Floyd Lippert, Ralph Lippert, and sisters Norma Luzier, Esther Barrett, Audrey Hoover, Margaret Chenoweth, and Beatrice Olmstead.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Ft. Wayne, IN.

Her grandson, Jason McDevitt, will be officiating.

She will be interred at Covington Memorial Gardens.
