Mabel Keppeler, 87, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital.  Mabel was born April 7, 1933 in Scottsville, VA a daughter of the late Dabney R. and Eva M. (Hunt) Staton.  She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving is her daughter, Donna (John) Wray; sisters, Carol; Merle; and Janice; grandchildren, Kirsten (Mike) Wray Brown; Natalie (Max) Huck; and Bobby Wray; great-granddaughter, Aviana Brown.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Keppeler; granddaughter, Emily Wray; and eight other siblings.  Funeral service is 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with visitation one hour prior.  Eastern star service will be at 12:30 PM.  Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.  Memorial donations may be made to Cross Connections' Emily Wray Scholarship Fund.
