Mable Geraldine Parkerson, 61, of Las Vegas, formerly of Fort Wayne, became one in heaven Sunday, October 8, 2006 in Las Vegas. She was a devoted wife and mother more than anyone could have ever hoped or wished for. She grew up in poverty, one of five children in a minister''s home. With her father passed and her mother ill, she dropped out of high school to attend to her. After one failed marriage, she met the love of her life, Roger D. Parkerson. Raising three children, Kimberly, Patricia and David, she helped her husband build a successville business, Parkerson Electronics. She and Roger lived life to the fullest. They traveled the country and abroad while still young. They did everything together as only two people deeply in love would. In her 50''s with the children raised and the business sold, she attained her High Scholl equivalency, which were all so very proud of her for accomplishing. When the grandchildren came, the loving wife and mother became a doting grandmother. The love she shared with them will be everlasting. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She made it a special time that no one in our family will ever forget. In her latter years the devotion to her family never wavered. She cared for her mother in law Martha after her husband passed and her own husband Roger after his triple bi-pass surgery. She was the glue that bound our family together. The love and compassion she showed to her family was an inspiration to all that knew her. She was the conscience of our family. Above all she was a child of God. She brought light and love to the people that knew her as only a child of god could. Our grief is overwhelming with the only consolation being that she is in the hands of god now, where she rightfully belongs. Surviving is her husband Roger, of Las Vegas, NV; Mother in Law, Martha of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Kimberly of Garrett and Patricia of Kentucky; her son, David of Fort Wayne, grandchildren, Travis, Issac, Zachary, Lindsey, Nicholas, Danielle, Rebekah, Katelyn, Alyssa and Deandra. Funeral services Noon, Saturday with calling two hours prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial to Donor''s choice.
