Obituary

Madlyn M. Dawald, 88, of Fort Wayne, died on, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at her home. Born in Peru, she was the daughter of the late, Glen and Edythe (Waymire) Mattox. She was a member and worked in the nursery for over 30 years at Emmanuel Baptist Church and now very active member of the Waynedale Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Deanna (Daniel) Wielhouwer of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Jeff (Darla) Dawald of Casa Grande, Arizona; grandson, David Wielhouwer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Elmer S. Dawald, in 2006; grandson, Daniel Wielhouwer II, in 2007; and brothers, Louis and Jack Mattox.

Graveside service is 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road. Following the service there will be a gathering at Waynedale Baptist Church, 633 Lower Huntington Road. Preferred memorials are to the church or Wielhouwer Scholarship Fund at Cornerstone University, 1001 E Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49525.
