Marcene Anne (McCaughey) Hine, 95, passed away January 13, 2019, at Bethlehem Woods Nursing Home in Fort Wayne. Born April 15, 1923, in Huntington, Indiana, Marcene was the daughter of the late Lloyd Stanley McCaughey and Hazel Evelyn Otis McCaughey. She graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1941. Marcene was married on June 28, 1947, to Robert Martin "Mart" Hine. She was a long-time resident of Whitley County and member of St Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke. In 1984 she retired from General Electric Company in Fort Wayne, with 20 years of service, was active in a General Electric El Par retiree organization, and volunteered at local hospitals and church functions. She loved gardening and oil painting. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Mart", and brothers John Charles McCaughey and Lloyd Otis McCaughey.

Marcene is survived by her daughter Cheryl Hine; and son-in-law, Robert Campbell, of Fort Wayne; son Ed Hine and his wife Cindy; and their son; Kevin, of Columbus, Ohio; her brother, Robert McCaughey of Westville, Indiana; and sister, Betsy McCaughey Schramlin of Valparaiso, Indiana.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St., Roanoke, with calling one hour prior. Father Dale Bauman officiating. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. Entombment at Covington Memorial Gardens.
