Mareldine "Deanie" Ann Darst, 93, died Sunday, September 16, 2018.  Born in Central City, Nebraska, she was a daughter to the late, Alfred and Alma (Selzer) Nantkes.  She was a wonderful homemaker for her family.  Deanie had worked for Nobson's.  She was a social butterfly, not knowing a stranger and was an avid golfer with her late husband.

She is survived by son, Michael Darst of Fort Wayne; daughter, Patricia (Steven) Loechner of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Andrea (Kenlin) Kropf and Steven (Theresa) Loechner both of Roanoke; and three great grandchildren, Evan, Drake and Faye; and her dog, Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles V. Darst, on May 18, 2005; and a brother, Dwain Nantkes.

Funeral Service is 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2018 at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, with calling three hours prior.  She will be entombed Covington Memorial Gardens.
