Margaret "Peg" Ellen White, 90, passed Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at BrightStar Senior Living, her home for the past five months.  She was born on September 19, 1929 in Crawfordsville, to the late Newton and Gayle Davidson.  She grew up on the family farm near Whitesville and graduated from Crawfordsville High School.  She also graduated  from Stephens College and Indiana University with a degree in elementary education.   It was at IU where she met Ed.  They were married August 12, 1951 and moved to Fort Wayne where they both started teaching.  After one year of teaching for Peg they started their family.  She retired from Allied Mills in 1984.  After Ed retired, they became "snowbirds", spending the summers at their cottage at Gilead Lake in Michigan and winters at Buttonwood in Sebring, Florida where she and Ed were very involved in many activities.

Peg is survived by son, Steve (Cheryl) White of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Cindy White of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Allison (George) Guido of Fort Wayne and Kelsey White of Denver; and a great grandson, Henry David Guido.

Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin H. White, Jr., in 2009; and son, David "Whitey" Randall White,in 2015.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Officiating will be Pastor Christina Ryan~Perkins.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the IU Foundation or Indiana Lions Eye Bank.
