Marian Tassler-Kendall, 96, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. She was born to Clifford Gemmill and Mary (Black) Higgins. Her father passed when she was just six months old and her mother remarried the late, Leland Higgins, they then raised the children together. She was a teacher''s aid at Fort Wayne Community Schools, a caterer at Lincoln National and a legal secretary for Central Soya.

She is survived by daughters, Cheryl (Jeff) Ford-Suffel and Jill (John) Evans; 5 grandchildren, Jamie (Josh) Pike, Robert (Christine) Ford, Jared Evans, Tony Ford and Ryan Ford; 5 great grandchildren, Lexie, Hudson, Archer, Lennox and Stella; and a daughter in law, Linda Tassler.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Randy Tassler; brother, LeGrand "Bud" Gemmill; and her sister and brother in law, Gilda (Fred) Kabisch.

Funeral Service is 6 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling 4:30 till service. Officiating will be Pastor Donny Goff. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Adams Woodcrest Retirement Community.
