Marilyn S. Beckmeyer, 81, passed away at home on September 15, 2023.

She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on April 19, 1942, a daughter of the late Leland and Edna Updegraft.

Marilyn worked as a secretary for over 35 years at Southwest Allen County Schools until retirement. She had a great love of animals.
She is survived by her children Greg (Andrea) Beckmeyer and Susan Beckmeyer; grandchildren, Adam (Kristin) Beckmeyer, Anna Beckmeyer, Joel (Emily) Beckmeyer, Abby and Jesse Beckmeyer; great grandchildren, Job and Gracie Beckmeyer; and sister, Elaine Langerhans.

Marilyn was gracious and giving to her kids and grandchildren; always spoiling them all. She will be remembered for the loving and caring mother and grandmother that she was.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 25, 2023 with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 7 pm on Sunday, September 24, 2023 also at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
