Marilyn Joan Rimmel-Schaab, 82, passed Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Coventry Meadows. Born in Butler, she was a daughter to the late, Amos Gerald Rimmel and Helen E (Casebere) Bartlett. Marilyn graduated from Purdue with Bachelors in Mental Health. She had worked for the Indiana Department of Labor as a State Inspector. She was on the Board of Directors in Cameron Hospital and had volunteered with the Ceta Program. She also was the owner of Marilyn''s Upscale Resale Shop.
She is survived by her children, Jonella Schaab of Fort Wayne, Fred Schaab of Tennessee and Christopher Schaab of Florida; sisters, Cindy Miller of Fort Wayne, Sandra Tharp of South Carolina and Martha (Jim) Robbins of Kendaville; three grandchildren, Damen (Dawn) , Brienna and Alex; two great grandsons, Caden and Ethen; niece, Michelle; and four nephews, Shawn, Mark, Donald and Keith.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Autumn Dawn; and nephew, Kyle.
Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at United Faith Presbyterian Church, 1616 West Main St, with calling one hour prior to service. Officiating the memorial service is Pastor Kathleen O'Connell. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials are to A.S.P.C.A or the family.
