Obituary

Marjorie Loechner, 89, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, June 11, 2012, at home. Born in Barrow in Furness, England, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Hannah (Cornfield) Anderton. She then came to the United States thru Ellis Island, in 1928. She lived in Manhattan until she married Robert; on May 15, 1945. After he was done with his military duties they settled here in Fort Wayne and raised their family. She was a member of the St. Matthews Lutheran Church. A wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, we love and will miss you dearly.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Patricia) Loechner of Roanoke; daughter, Janet (Adam) Kidston of Naperville, Ill.; son in law, Dan Hoffman of Laotto; daughter in law, Elizabeth Loechner of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren, with one due next month; and her devoted canine companion, Nellie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert F. Loechner, in 2003; daughter, Karen Hoffman, in 2009; son, William Loechner, in 2011; infant daughter, Janice Loechner; brother, Leslie Anderton; and sister, Mary Powell.
Memorial Service will be 3 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 2305 Goshen Road, with calling two hours prior to service. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
