Mark D. Merriman, 84, passed away Friday April 19, 2013. He was born January 13, 1929 in Huntington, IN to the late Arthur and Mildred Merriman. Mark worked 25 years at the Zollner Corp. He was an Army veteran and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Summit City Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Shrine.

Surviving are his daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Polka, sons, Nils M. and Kent P. Merriman, sister, Janet Merriman, 8 grandchildren, Glen, Rachel, Jamie, Kayla, Cody, Stacy, Connor, Delaney and 8 great-grandchildren, Serenity, Harmony, Kyliah, Rayick, Haley, Erik, Issac and Lacy. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Merriman in 2011 and an infant son, Terry Merriman and 3 brothers, Gene, Joe and Max Merriman.

Service will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 2 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Tuesday 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Summit City Masonic Lodge #170 will have services Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred memorials to; American Heart Assoc. or Calvary United Methodist Church.
