Martha "Marty" Jo Smith, 66, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018.  She was born October 25, 1951 in Knoxville, Iowa to the late Martin and Ila Maye Walton.  Marty worked as manager in Human Resources and retired in 2003 from Verizon.    She was a member of Christ's Community Church.  Marty enjoyed Bible study and spending time with the grandkids and having coffee with friends at Indulge.

Surviving is her husband James D. Smith, children Ashley (Ryan) Porter, Jordan (Allison Acosta) Smith, 2 grandchildren, Beckett, Hayes, along with her siblings John (Lynne) Walton, Barbara (Terry) Swihart, SR. Connie Walton and her fur-baby Charlie

Memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Christ's Community Church 10616 Liberty Mills Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN  46804.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until Noon.  Preferred memorials are to; Cancer Services of N.E. Indiana or Visiting Nurse Hospice Home.
