Martin Bruce Howard, 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at his home on March 8, 2025, after several years of declining health. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 2, 1941 to Sidney and Rose (Goodman) Howard. He was a 1959 graduate of Euclid High School, where he enjoyed music and played the saxophone in the band. He obtained a degree in business from Case Western Reserve University, served in the Army National Guard, and spent several decades traveling throughout the mid-west as an automotive insurance representative. He married his wife, Peggy, settled in Solon, Ohio, and had two children, Amy and Jeff, before relocating his young family to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1984. In his free time, Marty enjoyed playing golf, bowling, traveling, and attending the various sporting and fine arts events of his children and grandchildren. He retired to Fort Wayne in 2010, where he remained a loyal husband, father, grandfather and die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns until his very last day.

Martin is survived by his younger brother, Ronald L. Howard of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Margaret Louise Howard (Meissner) of Fort Wayne, and their children: Amy (Dennis) Elizabeth O'Brien of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey (Kathryn) Stephen Howard of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Nathaniel, Matthew and Peyton O'Brien of Fort Wayne, and Vincent and Jameson Howard of Nashville.

Martin will be laid to rest in Peggy's hometown of Salem, Ohio. No services are planned at this time. Donations to Stillwater Hospice of Fort Wayne or the charity of your choice in his name are appreciated.
