Marvel M. Powell, 83, of Fort Wayne passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home.  Marvel was born June 1, 1937 in Fort Wayne a daughter of the late Edward and Marquariete (Vanhausen) Bashop.  She was a homemaker and a member of Fort Wayne Baptist Church who was a devoted servant of Jesus Christ.  Surviving is her husband, Charles Powell; children, Gary (Pat) Powell; Tim (Phyllis) Powell; Cheri (Dave) Vinson; and Deb Smith; sister, Darlene Orr; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  Funeral service is 11:00 AM Friday, November 27, 2020 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.  Donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
