Mary Irene Byers, Sr., 82, died Sunday, April 8, 2018.  Born May 30, 1935 here in Fort Wayne.  She was a cook at First Presbyterian Church for over 20 years.

Mary is survived by; sons, John, Jr. (Cathy) Byers, David Byers, Ronald (Dawn) Byers and Charles Byers all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Sheri Johnson, Missy Topp, Jennifer Greene, Katie, Alan, Charlie, Kalyn, Justus, Amy, Stephanie, Alexa and Garrett Byers; and great grandchildren., Daishaun, Trista, Alasia, Darnell, Trinity, Izabelle, Chad Jr., Talim, Rayden, Hunter, Isabella, Trace, Devin, Makayla and Caden; daughter in laws, Beverly Byers and Sabrina Shimkus.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, John Raymond Byers, on April 13, 2013; and all of her siblings.

Mary was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Per Mary's request there are no calling or services.
