Mary Ruth Vangeli, 84, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Coventry Meadows. Born in Geneva, she was the daughter to the late Roy and Sarah Anna Deffenbaugh. She had worked as a CNA in home care, at the Hotel Van Orman and at Covington Funeral Home. She enjoyed bingo, dancing and in her retirement she helped at the Antique store with the ladies.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Danny) Ellis of Fort Wayne; brother, Ron (Norma Jean) Deffenbaugh of Hartford City; sister, Florence "Jeanette" Bergman of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Veira (Tim) Hendrickson, Ben (Reva) Ellis and Sonya Eskew; and one great granddaughter, Hailey; several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Deffenbaugh; sister, Ellen Lamont and Martha Miller.

Per Mary''s request there will be no services or calling. She was entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens.
