Mary Frances Dick, 81, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday Oct. 29, 2008 at Saint Joseph Hospital. She was born June 5, 1927 in Lagrange and grew up in Sturgis, Michigan. She was a teacher for Fort Wayne Community Schools and taught at Nebraska Elementary School retiring in 1986. Mary was also a member of United Faith Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a son, Gary (Jeanne) Dick of Fort Wayne; daughters, Shari Bahleda of Munster, IN, and Bethany (Pat Hynes) Dick of Fort Wayne. a brother, George (Edna) Shimp of Florence, AZ; brother-in-law, John (Sue) Ginter of Bloomington, IN; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one soon to be great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Dick, daughters, Patricia Tholen and Sarah Sheets. Funeral service Monday 1 p.m. with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Calling also 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
