Mary "Carolyn" Himmelein, 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Kingston Residence in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Ernest and Irene (Nash) Schlemmer. Carolyn married Russell Henry on January 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2018. She worked as a bank manager until her retirement in 1993. Carolyn was an active and faithful member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and participated in the choir, Sunshine Circle and Altar Guild. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bowling and playing cards. Surviving are her children, Mike (Melinda) Himmelein, Mark Himmelein and Laura (John) Cederdahl; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Ann Rabern. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Schlemmer. All services will be private. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
