Mary "Marge" M. Adkins, 91, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Miller's Oak Pointe in Columbia City, IN. Born in Columbia City, IN, Marge was a daughter of the late David Peter and Helen (Wolf) Rock. Marge was a 1949 graduate of Coesse High School. She married Victor "Joe" Adkins on March 1, 1954 and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2014. She was a faithful member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Columbia City, IN. Marge enjoyed reading mystery novels, crossword puzzles, playing cards, traveling, ice fishing, gardening and going to the casino and playing pull tabs. She was a sports enthusiast, following the Green Bay Packers and Indiana Hoosiers. Marge liked to argue politics and religion now and then, and was quite good at it. Surviving are her children, William "Bill" (Mary) Adkins, Randall "Randy" (Sheila) Adkins, Cindy (Carroll) Eaton, Linda (George) Ward, Edna (Dan) Kindig, Sarah (Joe) Lopez, and Norman (Jenni) Adkins; 20 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren. Marge was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Adkins; brothers, Kenneth Rock, Daniel Rock and John Rock; sister, Dorothy Bennett; grandson, Michael Adkins; and great-grandson, Nicholas Adkins. Funeral service 10:00am, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation, Monday, July 10, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home.
