Mary Helen (Miller) Redmond was born January 18, 1925, and died April 18, 2025, surrounded by family who cherished and loved her. Mary Helen was a homemaker by choice, but she was no ordinary homemaker as she managed to live 100 years taking care of children and doing so up until the end of her life as was her wish and goal. Mary Helen had a magic about her, her hugs were not just hugs, they made you smile and her warmth radiated into you and filled you with a love that can never be duplicated, the love she shared with her family was continuous and always will be.

A mother, grandmother and great grandmother may have left her physical body, but she will never leave our hearts.

Mary Helen married Collins Joseph Redmond on April 24th, 1946, and together they raised two daughters, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. They resided in Garrett Indiana most of their lives before moving to Fort Wayne. Mary Helen enjoyed square dancing and traveling with her husband Collie, relaxing on the porch swing with grandchildren and great grandchildren and leaving a legacy of ultimate love for family.

Mary Helen is survived by daughter Carol (Glenn) Hartshorn of Fort Wayne, IN. Grandchildren /Greatgrandchildren, Todd Dillon Family of Bourbon, IN. Emily Mooney Family of Fort Wayne, IN. Kati Christlieb Family Fort Wayne, IN. , Jonathan Christlieb Family of Fort Wayne, IN. and Robert Dillon Family Fort Wayne, IN. , Sister Rose (Art) Johnson of Fort Wayne , IN. and Extra Sister Barbra Miller of Laotto, IN.

Mary Helen was proceeded in death by her husband Collins Redmond, daughter Susan Dillon, grandson Gregory Dillon and her parents Ozwald and Leona Miller, her sister Margaret Bonkoski, brothers John Miller and William Miller.

Preferred memorials are canned goods brought to the church in lieu of flowers or donations for masses as per Mary Helen's request.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am and a rosary will be said at 9:30, also at the church.
