Mary Alice Jernigan of Fort Wayne, 77, died February 19, 2014. She was born June 16, 1936 in Tullahoma, TN, daughter of the late Bruce and Mattie Louise (Rust) Finchum. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital for 30+ years and attended Abundant Life Church. She will be remembered for her lively sense of humor, her pretty smile and her strong faith.

She is survived by her brothers Jim, Rusty, Larry, and David Rust; her daughters Pam (Joel) Erwin, Joy (Brian) Engquist; eight grandchildren; Robert (Shannon) Shull, Amber Jernigan, Preston Jernigan, Tarrah (Ross) Holland, Jack Pipes, Bronson Engquist, Brittany (Dallas) Cole and Chase Engquist and two great grandchild; Julia Shull and Kassidy Holland Besides her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband Sewell, son Rex Jernigan and a brother Don Rust.

Funeral services are at Abundant Life Church, 3301 E. Coliseum Blvd. on Tuesday, February 25 with visitation from 12 p.m. to 2 PM and funeral at 2 PM. Memorials can be sent to Abundant Life Church.
