Mary Bell (Crites) Sheets, 86, passed away on Monday Evening, December 24, 2018.  She was born in Calvertville, Indiana in 1932, to Ona (Hunter) and Charles Bernice Crites.  She moved to Fort Wayne after graduating from Bloomfield High School where she met Donald Sheets at the Gospel Temple Church and they married in 1951.  She obtained her BS and MS degrees from Saint Francis University and taught in Fort Wayne Community Schools for 30 years. She and Don enjoyed traveling the world and after retiring, they wintered in Apache Junction, Arizona.  Mary was a member of Mary Penrose Wayne Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Benita (Marv) Steyer and Barbara (Brian) Harris; grandchildren, Damon (Steph) and Derek (Brittany) Horner, Bryan Gripp, Jenny and Ben Steyer and Jeff and Mark Harris; great grandchildren, Emily and Abby Horner and Ethan and Reagan Becker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Don Sheets; her twin sister, Mable Johnson and sister, Oneda Noel; brother, Harwood Crites.

Memorial Graveside service will be in the Spring.
