Mary Ellen (Shupe) Mossburg, 67, passed Saturday, June 4, 2016 at home with her family at her side. She was born February 11, 1949, in Fort Wayne, to the late Simon and Beverly (Williams) Byrge. She retired from Fort Wayne City Utilities after 17 years of service as a customer service supervisor. She was a faithful member of St. Joe Community Church. Mary has completed her sacred vows to her husband; she was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, a friend to all she knew also to her BFF, Jerry Walters.

Mary is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jack L Mossburg of Fort Wayne; children, Jackie (J.R.) Hicks, Ron (Karen) Mossburg both of Fort Wayne and Jennifer Mossburg of Fort Myers beach, Florida; 13 grandchildren, Ronnie, Joey, Cody, Brittany, Melissa, Jeni, Nicole, Tyler, Krystal, Dezi, Kurtis, Renee and Alisha; and 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Patsy) Shupe and John (Dea) Byrge; sister, Cindy (Charlie) Jackson; and her furry friends, Toby (the favorite) and Casey.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Baughman, and her birth father Marion Shupe.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at, St. Joe Community Church, 2900 N. Anthony Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at St. Joe Community Church. Pastor Greg Byman will be officiating. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials are to the church or Heartland Hospice.
