Mary Julia Worth, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Marion, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Annie (Curry) Perry. She graduated from Excelsior High School, in Berwind, West Virginia and then went onto Howard University for a teaching degree. She was an active member of the Warsaw Baptist Church.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt; who was always willing to help family and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Chris and Joan Worth of Fort Wayne; sisters, Callie Wilson and Elizabeth O. Wisdom both of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Valencia Boykins; 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John A. Perry; and a sister, Maggie L. (Perry) Blackmon.
Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to the Church.
