Maureen Debra Davis, 58, died on Saturday, July 4, 2015. She was known for her contagious laugh, charitable heart, and vivacious spirit. Her life was a testimony of Christ Jesus'' love. She was a member of and secretary at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church, spent many hours volunteering at St. Paul''s and Concordia Lutheran High School, and touched countless lives in the community. Upon her passing, she was surrounded by family and friends.
Her husband of 38 years, Karl, continues to cherish every moment that he and Maureen shared in this life together, knowing that he will again be with her and all the company of heaven, sharing in the joy of peace and rest won for them by the grace of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Her four daughters, Natalie, Amanda, Caitlin, and Kelsey, are honored to have had such a strong and nurturing mother. They often sought out her wisdom and counsel, particularly in the areas of gardening, homemaking, relationships, parenthood, and life in general. Maureen''s grandchildren, Anae (Natalie & Garrett''s daughter) and Dash (Caitlin & Griffin''s son), adored spending time with their Grandma. Some of their favorite past times with Grandma were swinging outside, taking walks, reading books, playing with toys, and giving great big hugs.
Maureen was the daughter of the late George Edward and Rita Catherine (Birkmeyer) Frank. She had five sisters: Cecilia Bryan (Douglas), MaryAnn Schmidt (Wayne Sprigle), Judith Doan (Michael), RoseMarie Shaw (Kenneth), and Pam Frank (Rick Rester). As a child, she held close to her mother and her teachings. Her sisters watched her blossom into an amazing young woman. Maureen''s contagious, unmistakable laughter was both a beacon of light, as well as her signature. From the late night bedroom talks of two giggling girls to the early morning heartfelt discussions of a handful of sisters over a good pot of coffee no subject off limits, no words left unspoken. Maureen remained true to herself, therefore always being truthful and faithful to those around her. And while home was always her favorite place to be, that home would change as her journey began to unfold. Her strong attachment to family never faltered - it only grew larger as her family grew.
Although Maureen''s family was already quite large, her close relationships with friends and endearing nature with acquaintances broadened the definition of "mother" and "sister" to many outside her home. She was always present, listening without judgment, caring unconditionally, and providing encouragement and guidance as needed. She shared the bounty of her beautiful gardens with neighbors, treasured time with her closest friends over pizza and Irish coffee at the ACME, and was always spinning new home improvement ideas.
