Max A. Hamrick, 79, passed away Thursday January 8, 2014. He was born on April 8, 1935 in Boiling Springs S.C. to the late Clyde and Sallie Hamrick. Max worked Allen County Motors Ford serving as mechanic, service writer and salesman. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and John Chapman Kiwanis Club. Max was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Marty Hamrick, sons, Jeff (Yvonne) Hamrick, Jason (Stefanie) Hamrick, step children, Cindy (Tom) Henry, Kevin, Barry, Scott (Amy), Mark Kocks and Angela Kocks-Schmidt, a brother Paul Hamrick, 10 grandchildren, Karissa, Kelsey, Max, Emma, Ben, Beth, Kyle, Danielle, Micayla, Christian and 4 great-grandchildren, Anna, Nic, Bridget and Hadley. He was preceded in death by siblings, James L. Hamrick and Patsy K. Burkett.

Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday January 12, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 2 hours prior to service. There will also be calling at the funeral home Sunday January 11th. from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the family.
