Melvin O. Spaw, age 96, passed away Tuesday September 8 in Ft. Wayne. He was born June 7, 1913, to Frank and Bertha Romy Spaw and they preceded them in death. He was a lifelong resident of Ft. Wayne working as a Farmer and Master Woodworker. He is survived by his sons, Mervin (Rose) of Ft. Wayne, Jac (Sheila) of Columbia City, Larry, of South Whitley, and Dennis Spaw, of West Warrick, RI, one daughter, Sandra (Boyd) McFadden, of Oaktha, OK, as well as one sister Leone Davito, of Auburn, IN; 19 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Funeral Services will be Saturday September 12 at 10:00 AM at Covington Memorial Funeral Home in Ft. Wayne with burial to follow in Covington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home. The family''s Preferred Memorial is to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
