Meredith "June" Puryear, 86 formerly of Fort Wayne, passed peacefully with her family at her side, January 4, 2011 in Muskego, Wisconsin. She was born in Huntington, Indiana, daughter, of the late Andrew and Mae Dora Bartrom. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. She retired from General Electric.
She is survived by her two sons, Bruce (Jan) Puryear of Muskego, Wisconsin and Boyce (Barb) Puryear of West Salem, Wisconsin; brother, Andrew (Bonnie) Bartron of Coral Gables, Florida; sister, Shirley Keys of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister in law, Olivia "Lee" Puryear of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, (Bruce and Jan''s'' children)Stephanie, Jonathan, Alicia, and (Boyce and Barb''s children) Andy and Adam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Puryear, in 1988, one sister and five brothers.
Service is noon Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior to service. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Meyer. Memorials are to American Cancer Society. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
