Merle Bishop Jr., 86, passed away May, 11, 2021 at Parkview Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, IN he was the son of Merle C Bishop Sr and Alma (Meyer) Bishop. He married Glova (Barr) Bishop, she survives. Merle worked as a machinist tool and die maker at Zollner Corporation. He was a member of Fort Wayne Turners Club, Eagles Lodge 248, Trinity Presbyterian Church. He was a board member of Zollner Freedom Financial Credit Union. He enjoyed bowling and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Glova Bishop, son, Mark A. (Darlene) Bishop, daughter, Deborah (Larry) Wickliffe, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Bill and Robert Bishop and sisters, Betty Dunn and Patricia Debooth.

Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 with calling hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service with Rev. David Mitchell officiating, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Fort Wayne. He will be interred at Covington Memorial Gardens.
