Michael G. Mendez, 59, passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2023. He was born on June 15, 1964, a son of Miguel Mendez who survives, and the late Jessie Mendez.

Michael was a graduate of Northside High School. He worked as an investigator for Charter Communications. In his spare time, he was a world wide traveler. Michael was proud of being an Eagle Scout, even as a 59 year old adult, it was very important to him.
He is survived by sisters, Dawn Mendez, Melissa (Brice) Lawrence, Twila Daniels; brother, DeWayne Mendez; nieces and nephews, Kristy (Brent) Watson, Mickey (Bradley) Volney, Joshua (Brittany Evans) Mendez, Nacayla Price, Hailea Price, Britney (Ethan) Reckers, Donte Mendez, Antonia Mendez, Madalynn Mendez, Breanna Mendez and Chelsea Mendez Bryson Daniels, Amber (Ryan) Steffanides; great-nieces and nephews, Tate Watson, Nora Volney, Alexis Mendez, Connor Saylor, Kaiden, August, and McKinley Price, Zane and Owen Price, Kole and Emmitt Reckers, Raygan, Morgon, and Meeah Daniels and Mackenzie and Delilah Steffanides.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Jessie Mendez and nephew Ryan Stinson.

A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804. Visitation will take place from 10 am to 12 pm.

Burial to immediately follow at Covington Memorial Gardens, Ft. Wayne, IN.
