DR. MICHAEL R. ORMISTON, 74, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017. Born May 24, 1942, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Rodney E. and Shirley H. Ormiston. Michael had a Doctorate in Education from Indiana University and retired as Assistant Principal from Snider High School in 2005.

Surviving are his daughters, Lisa Renee (Andrew) Ormiston-Johnson and Lori Michelle (Roger) Barthelman, and their mother, Janet Ormiston; brothers, Patrick Joel (Judy), Jeffrey Mark (Sharon), Zackery Rod (Cathy) and Timothy Shawn (Kathleen), all Ormiston; and five grandchildren, Breylon, Karionna, Heather, Nicholas, and Madison.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with viewing one hour prior to service. Viewing also from 3 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
