Michelle Kay Scott, 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born in VanWert, OH to the late John and Charlotte Rose (Pancake) Steinmetz. Michelle married Michael E. Scott on October 7, 1972 and he survives.

She worked for East Allen County Schools for 30 years as a special needs paraprofessional, until her retirement. In her retirement, Michelle worked for Comfort Keepers to provide uplifting care, transportation and support for the elderly. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School. Michelle enjoyed fishing, camping and was an equestrian.

Surviving are her children, Mark (Vanessa) Scott and Melissa Scott; and two granddaughters, Cecelia Grace Siefer and Charlotte Leeloo Scott. Funeral service 1:00pm Monday, December 12, 2022 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the funeral service. Visitation also from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or Acres Land Trust. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
