Mildred L. (Reinhart) Badiac, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away January 29, 2017 at The Cedar's Retirement Community, Leo, IN. She was born on January 1, 1924 in Bluffton, IN. She was employed by General Electric as a machinist in her early years along with being a homemaker and a farmer''s wife. Later she retired from The Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. in 1988. She was also employed for several years by Walmart and volunteered at Parkview Hospital.

On February 23, 1946 Mildred became the wife of the late Elmer R. Badiac who preceded her in death on June 25, 1997. She was the daughter of the late Ezra A. Reinhard and Delva (Aschliman) Reinhard.

Surviving are her children, all of Fort Wayne, including Marilyn (Casey) Drudge; Carolyn Blount; Gloria (William) Davis; James (Valerie) Badiac; and Samuel (Janel) Badiac. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings Harry Reinhard, Aldulla Reinhard-Pulver, Ezra Reinhard Jr., Dale Reinhard, Kenneth Reinhard, Loretta Reinhard, and Rose Reinhard.

She is survived by sisters Betty (Carl) Macklin of Ossian and Edna (Wm. Gene) Moser of Bluffton, and by brothers James Reinhard of Bluffton and Daniel (Deloris) Reinhard of Eureka, IL.

She enjoyed life, family, friends, baking, gardening and the overall sharing of Christ's love. In earlier years she enjoyed bowling and in recent years she enjoyed playing bingo and quilting.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, at Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren, 6404 S. Calhoun St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour before. Pastor Gary Reiber will be officiating. Visitation also from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
