Mildred H. Walker, 89, passed away on April 23, 2023. She was born in Westerville, OH on August 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Charles and Rosetta Taylor.
She retired from Magnavox after over 30 years of employment.
Mildred was a long time member of the Order of Eastern Star , many times named as the Worthy Matron. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting and sewing.
She will be remembered for being dedicated to her family.
She is survived by her children Don (Marlene) McDaniel and Rick "Mac" (Jani) McDaniel; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Martha Scott, Wilbur Taylor, Dorothy Wilcox, and Raymond Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Walker; grandsons, Corey McDaniel and Matthew Johnson; sister, Lillian Gordon; and sister-in-law, Almeda Walker.
Funeral service will be held at 4pm on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN, 46804 with calling from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
