Mona Aurrieta Ely, 84, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Francis Winkleblack. She worked for over 15 years at Lincoln Food Service and was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She is survived by her sons, Larry (Sandy) of Eless, Texas and Perry (Marilyn) of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert F. Ely in 2007; a step brother and a step sister. Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Rev. Jerry Blanchard officiating. Calling is also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or Anthony Wayne Church of God.
