Monabelle G. Terrell, 97, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Kendallville, IN, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Wilma (Strater) Grossman. Monabelle was a 1943 graduate of Kendallville High School. She married Homer Dale Terrell in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Monabelle managed the cafeteria at East Allen County Schools until her retirement. She was a member of Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren. Monabelle enjoyed camping, gardening, traveling, dancing and spending time with others. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her children, Gary (Judy) Terrell and Sam (Candy) Terrell; six grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda; and son, Jeff Terrell and siblings, Ivan Grossman, Paul Grossman, Miriam Shaffer, Geraldine Altheide and Barb Gantt. Funeral service 1:00pm, Monday, March 27, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Life Villages. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
