Myrtle Jeanette Spencer, 79, passed Friday, January 17, 2020.  Born in Columbia City, she was daughter to the late Malcom and Myrtle Grimm.  She was a merchandiser for American Greetings and various retail stores.  She was also a member American Legion Auxiliary Post 160 of Roanoke, Order of Eastern Star Waynedale Chapter, Life Member of VFW of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.   She loved Nascar especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr and Darrell Waltrip.  She kept busy with crafts, knitting and crocheting.  Myrtle loved to spend time with her furry friend, Gizmo.

Myrtle is survived by daughter, Teresa Allison of Alexander, Arkansas; a sister, Barbara Bowers of Clarksville, Ind; and two nephews of Fort Wayne.

Myrtle was preceded in death in husband, Ray Spencer, in January of 2010.

Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.  Officiating will be Pastor Christina Ryan~Perkins. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
