Obituary

Nancy L. Flennery, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her home. Born December 8, 1953, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Alfred and Florine (Dunn) Flennery.

Nancy's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her. She was a cherished friend, devoted aunt and sister, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. She loved cooking for family and friends and was affectionately regarded as the best pet sitter anyone could ask for. Her lifelong passion was serving nonprofits, where she dedicated herself to securing resources that strengthened their missions. Over the years, she lent her leadership and compassion to organizations including Park Center, United Way, First Call for Help, and most recently the Multicultural Council, who described her as "a respected voice in the community, known for her generosity, her mentorship, and her ability to bring people together."

Nancy is survived by her sister, Pat Flennery, sister-in-law, Terri Flennery, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Barry Griffith, and brothers Hugh, Michael, and Dennis Flennery.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date.
