Nancy Jean Wigent, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 4th, 2026, at the age of 62.

Born in Huntington, Indiana, Nancy later moved to Fort Wayne where she met her husband of 31 years, Steve Wigent. Steve and Nancy had two daughters, Vanessa (married to Billy) and Natalie (married to Brock). Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Phyllis Kreiger, and her brother, Doug Kreiger.

Known as a selfless, generous and kind person, Nancy always put the needs of others before her own. When not working in the yard, you could find Nancy at the beach, or enjoying a nice dinner and conversation among family and friends. To say Nancy will be deeply missed is an understatement, and she will be forever remembered.

Private services will be held for the family, followed by burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
