Nila Faynelle (Meyer) Goshert, 93, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1st. She was born on September 28 th of 1930 in Fort Wayne to the late Lawrence C. and Estella C. (nee Brase) Meyer.

After graduating from Central High School, Nila graduated from Lutheran School of Nursing and began her nursing career in the Orthopedic operating room. Most of her career was spent as a Pediatric practice RN. She married her love, Edwin Goshert on November 16, 1952, and together they raised two boys. She spent her retirement years at their Lake of the Woods home, enjoying family and friends. Nila was a true nurturing caretaker throughout her life, and she will be missed by all.

Nila was preceded in death by Ed on February 21, 2022. She will be forever remembered by sons, Mike (Chris) and Rob (Wendy) Goshert; grandchildren, Kyle (Kristy), Scott (Rachel), KC, and Brian (Deirdre); and great grandchildren, Hayden, Layla, William, Eddie, Keagan, Ella and James, in addition to her sister, Karen Moltzen, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Nila was preceded in death by sisters Dorathea Fraser, Eilean Allen-Johnson, Roma June Minton and brothers Dale R. Meyer, LeRoy Meyer Sr., Arden Meyer, and Donald Meyer.

A private family memorial service is being held. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
