Norman Allen Hopson, Jr. 50, beloved son, brother, uncle, husband father, friend went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2021. Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, he was the son of Norman Allen Hopson, Sr. and the late Patrica E. Hopson. He attended R. Nelson Snyder High School and went on to study at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He spent several years working at Goldmine Arcade. He then moved to Aon Innovative. He also worked as a box office director at Civic Theater. His hobbies include gaming, wrestling, an avid collector of comic books. At an early age he was into making video games. He spent 23 years wonderful years with his husband, Ryan Gladieux.
To say he was kind and giving would be an understatement. Overall he was an amazing person and he will be truly missed
He leaves behind husband, Ryan Gladieux, father, Norman Allen Hopson, Sr. step mother, Joyce Hopson, brothers, Tracey Hopson, Alan Sheets, Jeremy Brennan, sisters, Andrea Hall, Cristal Sheets and Alisha (Ken) Jones, children he was a bonus father and role model to; Keira Hall, Erick Hopson, Patrick Hopson, Mathew, Elijah and Zachary Miller, Ashton Hughes, Ezekial Tun, and a host of other nieces and nieces and nephews, friends and their children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hopson and brother, Austin Sheets.
Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021 with calling from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, He will be interred at Covington Memorial Gardens.
