Opal M. Herrberg, age 94, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at 6:10 pm on Wednesday August 24, 2022, at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne.  Born on December 20, 1927, in Warren, Indiana, she was the daughter of Elmer and Ola (Keller) Bailey. Opal attended Warren High School and graduated with the Class of 1945. She was a homemaker for the majority of her working career. Opal was a long time member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she helped out in the daycare nursery. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and was a 4-H leader. Survivors include her children, Neil Herrberg and Laura Herrberg; both of Fort Wayne. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, 46804. Funeral services for Opal will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday August 31, 2022, at the funeral home.
