Pamela L. Bowlby, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 20th, 2026, at St. Anne Home. She was born in Ft. Wayne on Friday, February 13th, 1953, to Paul and Gertrude (Desch) Billman. She graduated from St.Joseph's School of Nursing in 1974, was briefly a nurse at GE but most of her RN career was at St. Joseph’s Hospital, ultimately retiring from their Burn Unit. On Friday, August 13th, 1982, Pam married Gerald S. Bowlby, taking on her most challenging role as stepmom to 4 children, Marcy (Scott) Griebel, Jerry “Bo” Bowlby, Kelly (Brian) Hardy, and Mark (Kristy) Bowlby, all whom survive. She was known as Grandma to Kelsie (Taylor) Krieg, Gavin (Makayla), Blake & Kalynn Hardy and Langstyn Bowlby; Great grandma to Xavier and Kanyon Krieg. Pam liked to scrapbook, shop QVC and was an avid cat lover. She spent her final years in memory care unknowingly battling dementia but happy and content believing she spent every day with her husband, parents and sister, Paula K.
