Paul Eugene Brumbaugh, 87, passed away Monday December 7, 2015. He was born April 6, 1928 in Albion, IN to the late Melvin and Velma Brumbaugh. He graduated in 1946 from Albion High School, was co-owner of the Arcola IGA and then managed Brumbaugh Services with his wife. He was a charter member of the Arcola Lions Club and served as District Governor of the Lions in 1959-60. Paul served Allen County for 20 years as a councilman. He sang in the Scottish Rite choir and was active in the Arcola Methodist Church. For the last 10 years he has been "Grandpa" at Chick-fil-A Jefferson Pointe.
Surviving is his wife of 67 years Betty, daughters, Susan Pape, Sharon (Jeff) Hoffman, brother, William (Joyce) Brumbaugh, grandchildren, Robert, Jeffery, Jennifer, Andrew, Elizabeth, Bob, Mike, John and a host of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Arnold, Galen, Roger Brumbaugh.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday December 11, 2015 at Arcola Methodist Church 11311 Arcola Rd. Arcola, IN 46704 with viewing 1 hour prior to service. There is also viewing Thursday December 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Burial will be in Merriam Christian Cemetery. Preferred memorial are to Arcola Methodist Church.
