Paul William Durlacher, 62, passed Saturday, September 28, 2019 at home with his family by his side.  Born in Paterson, New Jersey he was a son to the late, Robert and Doris (Ahrendt) Durlacher.  While Paul was an EMT, that is where he met the love of his life, Diane.  Formerly of Fair Lawn, New Jersey; they were in the process of moving here to be with their son.   Here they attended Emmaus Lutheran Church.  Paul was baptized, confirmed and married in Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fair Lawn, New Jersey; he was in the choir, an usher, cooked, and fed the homeless, and most always lending a hand.  He was a retired diesel mechanic from Pepsi after 33 years of service.  He loved to garden, camp and fish, but Paul always said his wife, Diane was his favorite hobby.

Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Diane (Folley) Durlacher; son and daughter in law, Chris and Stacey Durlacher of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandsons, Hunter and Trapper; sisters, Joanna (John) DeBell and Barbara Ghaffari both of New Jersey; nieces and nephews, Shiela Johnson (Ghaffari), Rahmin Ghaffari, Darren Ghaffari, Megan Ghaffari and Jordn Ghaffari.

Funeral Service in Fort Wayne is 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.  Officiating will be Pastor Roy Olsen.

Memorial service for Paul is 10 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 22-15 Broadway, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, 07410.
