Paul D. Simerman 81, died Saturday, August 8, and his wife Patricia M. Simerman 80, died August 11, 2015. Paul was born May 23, 1934 in Columbia City, to the late Lawrence and Lorrene (Eggiman) Simerman. Paul retired as a computer analyst for Mutual Security Life Ins. after 38 years. Paul was active as a Scout Master, Junior Achievement, giving 30 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross, avid card player. Together they were animal lovers and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Patricia was born February 15, 1935 in English, IN to the late Colonel and Nellie Sarles. Pat loved being outside gardening and enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting. Paul and Patricia were married 61 years.

Surviving are their children; Clyde (Cathy) Simerman, Wendy (Tom) Dawson and Kevin (Kay) Simerman; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; Paul''s siblings, Leon Simerman; Linda Arney and Diane Reus along with Patricia''s siblings, Josephine Cooke, Mary Sarles, Diane Drennon. Paul was preceded in death by one brother, Alan and Pat was preceded in death by two siblings Cherie Sandel and Carol Sandel.

Their funeral service is 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Viewing is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2014 at the funeral home. They will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorial are to American Red Cross.
