Paul Edwin Snyder, 88, passed Saturday, June 18, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, born to the late Oliver and Carrie (Conrad) Snyder. Paul served in the Coast Guard. He retired from Lincoln Life after 38 years of service as a systems analyst. He was an active lifelong member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. Paul was an avid IU Basketball fan, he enjoyed running and singing and he was a member of the Summit City Barbershop Chorus. Paul was a man of faith devoted to church and his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 64 years, Doris Jean (Risk) Snyder; sons, Douglas (Jo Ellen) of Magnolia, Texas, Stephen (Karen) of Fort Wayne, Daniel (Julie) of Mesa, Arizona and James (Sonia) of Chandler, Arizona; daughters, Martha (Bruce) Schroeder and Rebecca (Richard) Shroyer both of Fort Wayne; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Irene Snyder, Edith Tessman, Ruth Ellen Cagnet, Herbert, Oliver, Dudley, and James Snyder.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016 at Emmaus Lutheran Church, 8626 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-6 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the church or Visiting Nurse.
