Paul S. Ware, 69, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital. Born Sept. 16, 1937, he was a lifelong Fort Wayne resident, graduate of Central High School and retired from Slater Steel after 38 years. He was a member of Turner Chapel, A.M.E. and had also worked at Kiwanis-YMCA for many years. "A loving husband, step-father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend; he was a great man." He is survived by his wife, Suelena Carol Ware; step-children, Letrice Walker of Atlanta, GA, Brian Walker, Shana Walker and Kala (Chad) Winfield, all of Fort Wayne; brothers, Willie (Gertie) Ware and Arthur (Marine) Ware, Jr., both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Bettie Cox and Delores (Henry) McGilberry, both of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Melvin (Cunningham) Ware, one sister and three brothers. Funeral Services 12:00PM Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Turner Chapel, A.M.E., 836 East Jefferson Blvd. with calling from 11:00 - 12:00 at the church. Arrangements through Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorial is the Alzheimer''s Disease & Related Disorders Association.
