Peter W. Helmer, 77, died Friday January 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 4, 1935 in Ft. Wayne to the late Peter and Marie Helmer. Peter worked 44 years for General Electric as a Telephone Technician.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Ellen Helmer, children, Shelly (Randy) Patterson, Monica (Rex) Sievers, Kevin (Laura) Helmer, grandchildren, Devin, Miranda, Austin, Brianna and Kyle. He was preceded in death by sisters, Sandra Sue Helmer and
Bonnie Woods.
